Letter of Welcome
Welcome to St. Joseph, Dallastown’s Religious Education program. Our goal is to assist parents in raising their children to know, love and serve God and become educated in the faith. As in generations of past, our faith is handed down as a treasure to be lived and to spiritually support our lives.
Our program is made up of Parishioner Volunteers. Each class has a Catechist and an Aide to teach the one hour class. All of our volunteers have successfully passed security clearances of both the State of Pennsylvania and the Diocese of Harrisburg. We offer classes on Sunday mornings from 10:10 AM to 11:10 AM, or Wednesday evenings 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Classes begin in September and finish in May – we follow most of the school calendars.
Our program is instrumental in preparing children for reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation. As per diocese direction, each sacrament requires two years of preparation.
Families who attend our religious education program must be members of the parish. We do charge tuition and book fees to financially support the program. No family is denied our program because of financial need. Scholarships are available.
Welcome to the family of St. Joseph Parish. We look forward in getting to know you and raising our children in the faith!
Blessings – Mrs. Paula Sivulka
